What are area codes?
The area codes are a numerical sequence that must be dialed before the telephone number to which you want to make a telephone call to indicate the territorial location of that telephone number.
Area codes are used both to indicate a specific region within a country and to indicate the country being called.
If a call is made from one country to a telephone number within the same country, only the local area code should be used. However, if the call is being made from one country to a foreign country, you should use the international area code of the country you are calling and the local area code indicating the location of the telephone you are calling.
